Our Aim
Housing Connect has been established since 2021. Our aim is to connect any individual looking for affordable housing with social landlords, who can offer them a place to call home. Ultimately, our goal is to reduce homelessness in Nottingham.
Our story in a few words
Who we work with
We are working with numerous landlords and social landlords across Nottingham and we have made a database of rooms across the City.
We are able to offer both supported and independent accommodation. We currently have a range of accommodation available; from 1 bedroom flats, Studios and House Shares.
Our aim is to provide the very best experience for you to make the most of student or working living. We’ve grown to offer 150+ properties across Nottingham to suit individual’s needs.
Our supported accommodation involves on hand support staff to assist people with complex needs. The staff provide mental health support, sports sessions and application support. Their aim is to teach them basic life skills so that they gain confidence to live independently.
Achieving our goal
We are in the process of creating a smartphone app, allowing service users to login and make Housing Connect aware they are homeless. Housing Connect will then connect them to the most suitable social landlord that can offer them the most suitable accommodation.
The term “Suitable accommodation” means much more to us than the size and area the accommodation is found. It also includes additional support, by specialist individuals, who can help build up skills and confidence to prevent the service user becoming homeless again and move onto living fully independently.
